I know I’ve been pretty MIA in the personal department of this blog but I hope this Life Lately post is enough to compensate for our lost times and brief you on any updates from my life. I don’t think there’s much to tell because I’m still living my same old life, it’s always school, work and this blog. I still am single, I still am student, I still am working the same job and there’s nothing else to it.
However, here are a couple of things that I’ve been up to :
I’ve been staying alone at home for almost a month now because my Mom and sisters went to Kuala Lumpur a few days after my Dad went back to Kuala Lumpur, to send my Dad off to India. He is pursuing his PhD and my Mom just wanted to send him off at the airport. He was supposed to go earlier this month but due to the flood and all of that in India, everything got delayed until a week ago. Since I am staying alone, I’ve been paying the bills for her, I’ve been doing my own grocery shopping and buying or cooking my own food. To be honest, it took me a while to get a hang of it and I still am trying but I do think I
As you can see from my previous posts, I’ve been going to a couple of events. I was invited to the Konsert ERA Sayang Sarawak 2015, which was held on December 12th. However, a couple of nights before that, I received an e-mail from Nando’s Malaysia, inviting me to their Grand Opening, a private function for media and VIPs. I love Nando’s so I couldn’t say no, even if the function was a few hours before the Konsert ERA Sayang Sarawak press conference. At the private function, I met a couple of my friends who I met in August, at Rainfest. I had such a lovely time meeting them and catching up on what’s hot and what’s not.
The new semester has commenced and I’ve been trying to go back to the full-time student life, as everyone would do as soon as they go back to school. I am in my fourth semester now, which makes me a senior at school, so most of my classes are being taught by senior lecturers and I feel like everything is very fast paced. With senior lecturers, I feel like they don’t spoon feed as much, which I have no problem with because it’s nice to learn to be independent and a lot of times, you cannot be too dependent on your teachers and lecturers. My brain feels like it’s on over-drive because everything is like touch and go. It has only been the second week of classes and my list of school tasks are getting filled up every single day.
A new food trend has arrived in Kuching for the past two weeks and it is the cheap hipster coffee by the road trend. It’s where you pay RM6 or less for really yummy coffee in really huge hipster cups. I will blog about it a bit more but some of the ones that I’ve tried taste exactly like the frappucino drinks you would get at Starbucks and they’re way cheaper than the green mermaid’s.
I thought you would like to know if there are any updates about my cat. I have finally mastered the art of calming your extremely hyperactive cat. My cat is extremely hyper that it actually annoys me sometimes. A lot of times, when I’m about to go to sleep, he decides to come up and chew on a part of my body. There was a time when I was taking a nap and I was woken up by my cat, biting on my elbow. I really try to play with him more often now, I bought him a feather toy thing and I’m using lasers to attract him and to get him to run around, sort of to exhaust him so he would go to sleep. He is such a precious creature when he has his eyes closed and he’s sleeping on his back, until of course he decides to wake up and eat everything in his sight.
Well, I guess that’s it from me. That’s basically the gist of what’s been happening. Just more Diploma student duty, blogger duty and cat owner duty. I have a few posts coming up soon and I’m really trying to keep up with this blog as best as I can.
Talk again soon,
