EATING HEALTHY MADE EASY WITH RAW LIVING JUICES

As you all may know, I’m trying to eat healthier this year. I’m trying to eat better food, exercise more and loads of other things to make sure I achieve that goal. However, I have to admit that I haven’t been very good with eating healthy and I haven’t exercised in a week since my trip to KL a couple of weekends ago. Being a Malaysian in Malaysia, eating healthy is so difficult because there aren’t a lot of healthier choices here. You don’t see a salad bar or you don’t get a lot of vege and healthier foods. When I go to restaurants and cafes, I see really oily and greasy food and I have no choice but to conform to the limited choice I have on the menu.

Luckily, The Raw Kitchen has just opened at VivaCity Megamall and now, we can all enjoy a healthier lifestyle, especially with our diet.

The Raw Kitchen, Kuching serves up cold pressed raw living juices along with other superfoods and smoothies. They don’t serve dairy, their juices have no added sugar, no water and no preservatives. Everything is fresh and raw, from the fruits and vege they have in their kitchen.

What’s different about their juices is of course that it’s cold pressed. When you go to a restaurant and you order a glass of juice, they usually use a juicer to do it. However, with cold pressed juice, it involves no heat or oxidation in the preparation process because the fruit will go through a grounding process, into pulp and pressed over a ton of force for maximum extraction. So, you get the maximum amount of nutrition in your juice and your juice can last for at least two days in the fridge without changing colour. Juice changing colour means it has oxidized and oxidized fruit and juice means less nutrition. I actually brought home a small bottle of the To The Beet which is a blend of beetroot, apple, lemon and carrot and left it in the fridge for two days. The colour didn’t change but the taste did change, just a bit. It got a bit more concentrated and you may not like that.

They have a variety of juices made to suit your liking and every juice has a different purpose. You have juices for detox, or for beauty and even to get rid of any lethargy and sluggishness you may experience. If you have bad breath, they have a juice for that too! A lot of their juices have ingredients you would never imagine having in a juice like a juice called Luck Now with orange, apple, turmeric, cinnamon and lemon, and a juice called The Master with apple, lime, lemon, cayenne and chia.

So far, I’ve tried OMG with orange, apple and ginger (good for detox!) and To The Beet which has apple, lemon, carrot and beetroot! They didn’t taste weird at all. They were very tasty, sweet (naturally sweet that is!) and very comforting, in a way. It didn’t taste like grass or leaves since that is what you would imagine any juice to taste, especially green juice!

The Raw Kitchen also has a Special Detox Program where you can choose your detox level whether beginner, intermediate or advanced, choose your preferred length or program and your starting date. They even deliver every day of the week so they will deliver the juices to you whenever you think fit!

I’m actually bummed that I didn’t get more juices to take home with em but since it’s only in Kuching, I can buy them whenever I want!

So, don’t wait any longer, visit The Raw Kitchen to get your daily supply of healthy juices to get your healthy lifestyle going!
