TONY MOLY GRAND OPENING SALE HAUL

image

I haven’t gone shopping for so so so long since I started saving up for my trip to South Korea this May so when I heard Tony Moly was opening at VivaCity Megamall Kuching, I was very intrigued. I was invited by Tony Moly Malaysia themselves to come and celebrate the opening of yet another Tony Moly store in Kuching, which made me feel very flattered and honored. We had drinks (Cola and Sprite ok), h’ordeuvres, we were shown a Korean make-up demonstration and given time to shop!

We were all given RM300 cash vouchers each to pick and choose the products we want to try out so I spent nearly two hours in the store, looking at products, swatching make-up and carefully putting things into my basket.

Since Tony Moly is a Korean brand, a lot of their products are more catered to Korean women and most importantly, for girls with fair skin. I’m not any of the two demographics so I really had to take my time and see what would suit me and what would not. I’ve heard good things about Tony Moly so I was very excited to finally try a couple of things out.

First thing that I bought was the Blackhead Steam Balm from their Egg Pore collection. I’ve heard many good things about the Egg Pore collection as I’ve seen them many times in Korean skincare hauls on Youtube. For the past two weeks, I’ve been having problems with blackheads on my nose due to clogged pores so I thought I should try this one out to see how it could save my skin. The packaging is fun too! It’s an egg!

Then, I moved on to make-up. I don’t have a lot of make-up in possession just because I don’t like to hoard on make-up and let it go to waste when it expires. Anyway, I was skimming through the make-up aisle and decided to pick up just a few essentials. I initially wanted the The Stage Eyetone eyeshadow palettes but they didn’t have them in stock individually so I had to pass on those.

Instead, I got a few shades from the Eyetone Matte collection. I tried them out yesterday and they’re so buttery and soft! The packaging is so cute as well, looks like one of those Pantone things you see on Tumblr! Some of these eyeshadow colours seemed poorly pigmented when I swatched them but when applied on the eyelids with a brush, they look really good on and they’re very easy to blend!

I didn’t have much I wanted to try skincare wise as I’m very picky with my skincare and they don’t have much for my skin type – oily, acne-prone and tanned. So, I got some their sheet masks.

I’ve heard a mouthful about the Korean Snail skincare, a skincare trend from last year so I decided to get one of the Pureness 100 Snail Mask Sheet for damaged skin. Their more popular Snail products are from the Intense Care Premium Snail Skincare range but I wasn’t willing to shell out on those so I didn’t get them. Then, I got one of the I’m Real Skin Purifying Seaweed Mask, the I’m Real Clear Skin Rice Mask Sheet and three of the Egg Pore nose packs.

Here’s a random pick – the Perfect Eyes Pro Curling Mascara. I don’t wear a ton of eye make-up. I have one mascara and one eyeliner in possession and they’re both travel-sized just because I don’t want to waste my money on a full-sized product then watch it expire in 3 months. But since I was already shopping, I thought why not? I should’ve gotten their best-selling Back Gel eyeliner but I’m not fond of eyeliner so I decided not to.

In my goodie bag, I received deluxe samples of the entire Naturalth Goat Milk Premium Care range. These are supposed to be super hydrating but since I don’t have dry skin and I’m not fond of the fragrant in these products, I’ll be giving them to a friend so they’ll be put to good use.

I am so happy with what I got at Tony Moly yesterday! If you’re interested in any of these products or just Tony Moly in general, be sure to drop by Tony Moly VivaCity Megamall to get 30% on ALL normal-priced items! Promotion lasts only until tomorrow!

Talk again soon,
