Hello, happy new year! I know I’ve been absent especially during the new year. While everyone was busy sharing their new year’s resolutions and yearly round-up, I was roaming the streets of Seoul and breathing the cold winter air. This trip meant a lot to me because it was my me time. I contemplated on bringing my dSLR so I can blog about everything but I felt like that would take away most of my experience. As much as I would like to be an active blogger and juggle two devices (vloggers juggle three!) and three to four apps at the same time but I really wanted to take the time to zone out and clear my head for the new year. I did post regularly on Insta-story (I had to exclude Snapchat because again, too much work) so I really hope you didn’t miss that! I wanted to do a mini vlog to post on Instagram, like the ones I did for Matang Wildlife, Annah Rais and Penang but vlogging on my phone would take up a lot of my battery within a few hours so I wanted to avoid that.

I’ve been asked if I would blog about my trip and the answer to that is yes but not in detail, it would be more generic. Also, it seems like my Seoul Searching posts are still quite lacking in terms of information so I will make sure to update them and give you as much information as I can. I have provided information about things like budget and places to visit so if you want to see those, you can click on the link. If you have any questions about my trip(s), feel free to ask me in the comments or DM me on Instagram.

When the year ended, I did not have a new year’s resolutions ready. I did plan on posting it while I was in Seoul, just typing it up on my phone but I didn’t have it ready because I didn’t know the path that I would be following in 2017. However, now I do have my resolutions. I will share them with you very soon but it’s very simple. I don’t have much to achieve this year, at least I don’t think I have because I’ve done all the self-love stuff so this year, I’m trying to be very minimal and just go with the flow a bit more. This year is still pretty mysterious for me because I’m not studying anymore, at least at the moment and I don’t have a real job yet. I just get paid to do stuff at my Mom’s company.

If you don’t know, I did not get the scholarship with Yayasan Peneraju. I’m pretty sure I screwed up during the interview because I was definitely really honest with all my questions and I don’t think I seemed really eager to get the scholarship and do the professional programme. I mean, I do want it but I guess I’m not passionate enough, especially because I can live without it and I told them that, only because they asked. But yeah, that’s over now. Moving on to the next part, waiting to do my Degree.

Anyway, that’s all that has been happening in my life so far. It’s the same old same old. Still working, still eating chips in bed, still buying striped tops. I want to know what’s up with you? Has anything interesting happened in your life so far? Feel free to share it with me and the other readers in the comments section below! I really wish people would comment more because then I would feel like there’s a connection with you guys. I know I don’t have a large following, but it doesn’t matter to me at all. Even if there’s only one person who’s reading my blog and even if that one person may be me, I would still be here, blogging.

Talk again soon,
Hani Lutfi
